Integral Powertrain
Sometimes the little details make all the difference. These HUD style animations were integrated into a larger 3D animation to add a futuristic sci-fi feel to the environment, demonstrating Integral Powertrain's leading edge technology.
Creative direction – Richard Dufty, RBD Design
I was asked by Richard Dufty to create a series of animated ‘heads up display’ graphics and technical drawings to accompany a promotional video for Integral Powertrain; an engineering firm based in Milton Keynes. These animations would be a subtle feature of the final piece, but would help demonstrate the high-end technology and research that the client is known for.
Many of the HUD style graphics were inspired by science fiction films and real life user interface design, while the animated mechanical drawings were created from actual schematics of Integral Powertrain’s products. This project was an enjoyable opportunity to play around with new ideas and practice elemental animation techniques to create smooth, believable animations.
